What is a TOG?
TOG (Thermal Overall Grade) measures warmth. The higher the number, the warmer the garment. Always choose TOG by room temperature, not the weather outside.
- 0.5 TOG – Light for warm rooms 24°C+
- 1.0 TOG – Moderate for 20–23°C
- 1.5 TOG – Mild for ~18–22°C
- 2.5 TOG – Cosy for 16–19°C
- 3.5 TOG – Extra warm for ≤15°C
These bands align with common UK guidance used by leading brands; always check your baby's neck and chest, not hands or feet.

How to Measure
